Team FOOTPRINTZ defeats
Rack Attack (NJ) in opening game of
FIREBALL @ Baruch College…

Participating, in Funsport Inc.’s Fireball basketball league, Team FOOTPRINTZ defeated Rack Attack in it’s opening game. Fireball, in it’s 10th year, serves as a pro-level tournament geared to preparing players for the various NYC summer time leagues as well as various NBA mini camps.

Team FOOTPRINTZ, led by new addition Pete Mulligan’s 23 points, defeated Rack Attack in a game that featured several thunderous dunks and thrilling moves. Rack Attack, hailing from New Jersey, featured Courtney Nelson formerly of William Paterson via Rutgers University and former Mr. New Jersey, Jeff Robinson who while as a member of the University of Memphis’ Final Four team before transferring to Seton Hall where he will played alongside Keon Lawrence, who previously attended University of Missouri.

Team FOOTPRINTZ returned Jarrid Frye (2008’s Fireball 6th man of the year) as well as Andre Duncan, however it was Team FOOTPRINTZ’ new additions that catapulted them to victory. In addition, to Pete Mulligan – Team FOOTPRINTZ added Mark McCarroll, Ron Yates, Sheiku Kabba, Marvin McCullough, and Anali Okoloji, a high school student, who list his college suitors as TCU, Depaul, University of Florida and University of Memphis.

"That was a good game for us, as we become familar to each other as well as get us back into game shape. They were fast and quick and we adapted very well to their style of play", says Coach Mark Williams.

Up next for Team FOOTPRINTZ is DJ Clue’s team (Sunday – May 10th @ 3pm), who, like Team FOOTPRINTZ were victorious in their opening weekend.
