TEAM FOOTPRINTZ survives BROOKLYN

Team FOOTPRINTZ, again, is competing in BROOKLYN PRO Men's League sponsored by Funsport Inc.. A league in which many use as a springboard to FIREBALL - one of NYC's premier leagues.

Team FOOTPRINTZ coming off it's final four showing from last year's tournament, opened the season against the BLAX BALLERS of Queens. A team that featured Karim Smith of LIU, Carl Lee - a member of last year's champion team (Sean Bell) and Ryan "special fx" Williams of St.John's University and AND1 basketball fame. Team FOOTPRINTZ, coached by Mark Williams boasted players from St. Michael's College (Jason Curry), James Madison (Jomo Belfor), University of Texas (Reggie Freeman), Iona College (Justin Marshall), Drew University (Onye), Jersity City College (Kareem Collins), St. Bonaventure (Dave Capers), and Quinnipiac College (Kason Mims), struggled to gain its footing throughout the 1st half - resulting in a 16 point defiect.

In the beginning of the 3rd quarter Team FOOTPRINTZ began to make a dent in the lead. Behind a strong defensive presense and timely scoring Team FOOTPRINTZ ended the third quarter trailing the BLAX BALLERS team by 10 points. The start of the 4th, Team FOOTPRINTZ again applied a great deal of defensive pressure and began to "click on the offensive end". Once the smoke cleared Team FOOTPRINTZ defeated the scrappy team from Queens by 4 points.

"I am really proud of our defense.! We only allowed 24 second half points. We didnt shoot well, but we will as we adjust to the game speed after a winter off", says Coach Mark Williams.
