Team FOOTPRINTZ players and trainees in the news...


DECEMBER 1, 2009 –

Providence, Rhode Island - Team FOOTPRINTZ player and current Providence College guard/forward Kyle Wright, showed his offensive prowess netting 13 points and 6 rebounds in only 18 minutes of action for the Rhode Island school as they battled the University of Vermont.

Wright, a renowned scorer, came off the bench and responded with career highs points and rebounds in the 106-64 victory over the “Catamounts” of Burlington, VT.

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound junior, who hails from Hartford, CT, joined the Friars’ team after one year at Monroe College – Bronx, NY where he received NJCAA All- American credentials after averaging 18 points per game for the Bronx school.

"Kyle will be a really good weapon for us because he can step out and shoot with really good range," said Head Coach Keno Davis. "He just needs to shoot it when it comes to him. Plus he might be our most improved defensive player already. He goes after rebounds as hard as everybody.

Lincoln, Nebraska – Five Huskers scored double figures, as the Nebraska basketball team used a balanced effort to post a 90-77 victory over TCU at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Led by Jorge Brian Diaz, who paced the Huskers with a game high 22 points off the bench, was joined by teammates Ryan Anderson, Brandon Richardson, Sek Henry and Team FOOTPRINTZ player Quincy Hankins-Cole in registering double figure points for the Doc Sandler coached team.

Hankins –Cole, whose 10 points were his career-high point totals while at the BIG 12 school is no stranger to a large stage to perform.
Prior to his stay at the Lincoln campus, Hankins-Cole was an ALL-State performer while enrolled at Polk Community College of Winter Park, FL. He, along with, current Husker Lance Jeter teamed up lead Polk CC to two conference championships while compiling a 49-12 record.

Quincy, a 6’8” power forward, hails from Roosevelt, NY where as a high school student was an All-County Class A 1st team selection as a senior.

CANCUN, Mexico – The Syracuse women’s basketball team continued their winning ways by defeating the “Bulldogs” of Butler University while on “holiday break” in the Cancun Thanksgiving Classic. The victory pushed the Orange’s record to 6-0 on this young season.

The upstate New York team was led by Erica Morrow of Brooklyn, NY who scored 29 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Syracuse had two additional players score in double figures, freshman center Kayla Alexander and Team FOOTPRINTZ trainee and three time All BIG EAST honoree Nicole Michael- who each contributed 18. Michael’s game total brought her career points total to 1,401 which is five points shy of her becoming 2nd on Syracuse’s career record list for points.

Prior to the Cancun trip, Nicole and her teammates battled Binghamton University. After the game, Coach Hillsman proclaimed Nicole’s 36 points and 16 rebounds performance, “One of the best performances that I have seen in women’s basketball.”

Nicole, the 1st player of the storied program to have been a preseason nominee of the John R. Wooden Award, attended August Martin High School before attending prep schools in NC and MA. While at the Queens school, she was a All –City performer and averaged 26.0 points and 16.5 rebounds per game.
