GAME RECAP
Having to split the it's roster - members of Team FOOTPRINTZ arrived to the game midway through the 3rd quarter. Prior to the arrival of FIREBALL participants, Team FOOTPRINTZ was forced to recruit two (2) players from W4th street's stands. The two players coupled with 3 Team FOOTPRINTZ players engaged in a hotly contested game. Led by Lance Hazel (Queens College), Julian Bah (Trinity College) and Jackson College (Amherst College) Team FOOTPRINTZ cut the lead - which was 18 points to 10 (ten) points prior to Mark Williams (College of St. Joseph - VT) and Jamie Barnett (University of Texas - Kilgore) arrival. Hazel's three point play assisted by Mark Williams turned the tide of the game coupled with Jackson's defense and Juliah's rebounding.

Facing an over matched opponent JUMP put a hard fight for the first 10 minutes of the game leading 27-17. Team FOOTPRINTZ pulled away as the 2nd quarter began once the onslaught was over Team FOOTPRINTZ had out scored JUMP 83-21. Team FOOTPRINTZ was led by Jarrid Frye (Sacred Heart University), who led a balanced attack in the victory.

With an unsettled weather pattern, Team FOOTPRINTZ faced a hungry Young Money Train team. Led by Charles Lott (James Madison University) and Bryan Matthew (Iona College) Team FOOTPRINTZ battled throughout the contest only to fall short to a last second three point shot by Sundiata (yadda) Gaines (University of Georgia). "My hat goes off to Donald and his crew they played us very tough considering both teams were not at full strength, but that's summer basketball, "says Coach Williams.

In a dramatic comeback, Team FOOTPRINTZ needed overtime, but improved it's record to 5-1 by beating regional power XMEN.
After falling behind by 23 points in the third (3rd) quarter, Team FOOTPRINTZ' defensive surge was led by it's "2nd unit". Led by Jomo Belfor (James Madison University), Charles Lee (Bucknell University), Bob Mahoney (Stony Brook University), Verne Goulbourne (Lehigh University), Dan Golembowski (Iona College), and Rashid Frye (Eastern Oklahoma JC). Offensively, Team FOOTPRINTZ' attack was spearheaded by it's backcourt of Jarrid Frye (Sacret Heart University) and Kareem Collins (Jersey City State College), but anchored by it's frontcourt of Bryan Matthew (Iona College), Charles Lott (James Madison University) and Jeff McMillan (USC). "Although the offense will get credit for their efforts in my eyes it was our defensive intensity that changed the outcome of the game. I love our depth and the notion that everyone understands it is not about their individual success, but rather the team's", says Coach Mark Williams.

GAME RECAP
After defeating XMEN and after short notice, Team FOOTPRINTZ faced a very dangerous Diamonds team who entered the contest without a victory in the 2008 campaign.
Team FOOTPRINTZ started of hot (17-7) as the weather turned for the worse. Diamonds headlined by John "mookie" Thomas along with Sean "murda" Simpson led there team to a 20 point lead (94-74) in the 4th quarter. As in past games, Team FOOTPRINTZ rallied and cut the lead to 6 points, but failed to grasp the lead as Diamonds earned their first victory.
"We came out playing well, but fizzled in the middle portion of the game only to pick up our defensive presence in the 4th quarter. I hope we realize that we have to play (HARD / TOUGH) the whole game to be considered an elite team", says Coach Mark Williams
