Team FOOTPRINTZ hits New Jersey with a Bada - BANG

Recently, several members of the Team FOOTPRINTZ, a comprehensive community based organization that provides year-round development programming to youth from under-served communities in the New York metropolitan area, participated in the NBA’s Assistant Coaches Clinic held at the NJ Nets’ practice facility. The event, sponsored by the NBA, provided many former NBA players an opportunity to “cut their teeth” in the professional coaching profession. The soon to be coaches organized drills and directed players through the various nuisances of the drills. Many former NBA coaches, such as, Bob Hill, Dwayne Casey, Terry Schotts, and Rick Carlisle were on hand to facilitate and guide the budding coaches through the various processes needed to become a successful NBA assistant coach.

The players, who many, train with Milton Lee, Director of Basketball Operations of New York Athletic Club (N.Y.A.C) were asked to simulate NBA drills in an effort to further advance the future coaches’ knowledge of the NBA coaching techniques.

Former NBA players Kenny Anderson, Bo Outlaw, Wendall Alexis, Acie Earl, Robert Pack, Tony Campbell, Doug Overton and Buck Johnson were active participants in the event as well as David Vanderpool and Kenny Battle.

Current Team FOOTPRINTZ players included Charles Lott, Bryan Matthew, Sergio Guzman, Jason Hoover, Mark Williams, and Noah Coughlin.

“I felt it was a great time and I thank Milton Lee of N.Y.A.C (http://www.nyac.org/) and the NBA for the opportunity” says Noah Coughlin.
