In conjunction with August Martin High School’s Achieve NOW program - Team FOOTPRINTZ organized a sneaker drive to benefit the Hoops 4 Hope organization.

HOOP 4 HOPE is a not-for-profit organization that supports youth development in Zimbabwe and South Africa by working with schools, shelters, and community organizations. In addition, Hoops 4 Hope provides the most basic tools that young people need to play team sports and face the many challenges of growing up in communities plagued with poverty, crime, and HIV/AIDS. Such as: building basketball courts, organizing leagues, distributing athletic clothing & equipment collected from around the United States, running coaching clinics, organizing tournaments, supplying financial assistance for team travel, hosting international basketball coaches and players, and providing children with a safe nurturing environment in which they develop more than just skills for the court, they develop SKILLS 4 LIFE!

“We, at Team FOOTPRINTZ, are happy to have partnered with the Achieve NOW program @ August Martin High School in this endeavor. I applaud the staff, in particular Mr. Dipo and Ms. Jenkins, for their willingness to give basic necessities back to the people of Africa, but I am extremely proud of the Achieve NOW students for their assistance. For these students, whom many consider selfish and arrogant, to acknowledge the world is larger than them means we are having a positive influence on their daily lives” says Executive Director – Mark A. Williams.
