MASTERY BEGINS AT 10K HOURS of REPETITION

MASTERY BEGINS AT 10K HOURS of REPETITION

As a basketball company which specializes in a player's development (on and off the court) we have heard of the work by Anders Ericsson, the Florida State University psychologist whose research spawned the "ten-thousand-hour rule". The “10,000-hour rule” -- that this level of practice holds the secret to great success in any field.  In some circles this theory has become gospel and in others it has become a way of life.  In essence, this "rule of thumb" means REPS, REPS, REPS and more reps will foster perfection.

During the 1980's, The Karate Kid's "Wax on - wax off" became part of pop culture. (For you youngsters) See Video ...

The moral of the story is after many hours of repetition a skill can become a natural and innate movement.  Therefore, it is imperative that, we as basketball skill enhancers, provide game related drills to our clients where their NATURAL ability will take over during BATTLE TIME.

10K worth of REPS, REPS, REPS, and more REPS
